Nearby frontal boundary and surface trough may lead to additional thunderstorms capable of producing ~2"/hr rainfall rates. Additional areas of flash flooding are possible. Hourly rainfall rates could top 2"/hr in the most intense areas of convection from northern Arkansas to northwest Tennessee and far western Kentucky. Given slow storm motions, there is merit to the potential for rainfall totals to range between 2-4" in some spots by the time convection fizzles out in the next few hours.
