The first prolonged period of excessive heat will arrive on Sunday is expected to hold through next Thursday. We're not alone as displayed on the map above showing the extent of the expected heat.
We must prepare more so now than normal because this is the first episode that will likely involve Heat advisories. Heat index values will reach to near 105º each day. In preparation for the coming heat, here are some safety reminders.
