May Not Be a Happy Start to 2022: Flooding? Severe Storms? Snow? Highs in the 30s!

 FLOOD WATCH 

.A slow moving cold front will become stalled across Northeast
Arkansas, the Missouri Bootheel, and Northwest Tennessee Friday
Night into Saturday before finally pushing east late Saturday
afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will continually develop along
the front, training over the same areas. The front will interact
with abundant Gulf moisture allowing for heavy rainfall to occur
which will likely lead to flash flooding.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...In WestTennessee, Benton TN, Carroll, Chester, Crockett, Decatur, Dyer,  Fayette, Gibson, Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Henry, Lake, Lauderdale, Madison, McNairy, Obion, Shelby, Tipton and Weakley.

* WHEN...From Friday evening through Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

SNOW & COLD


Much colder air will filter into the region behind a cold front
Saturday Night. An upper level disturbance will then move into
the Mid-South by Sunday morning. Chances for snow will occur with
the disturbance. At this time, little to no snow accumulation is
expected. Wind chill values will drop into the teens Sunday and
Sunday Night.
