FLASH FLOOD WATCH EXPANDED

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT TONIGHT...

The National Weather Service in Memphis has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include all counties in west Tennessee, including the following areas, in West Tennessee, Benton TN, Carroll, Dyer, Gibson,
  Henry, Obion and Weakley.

* Until Midnight CDT tonight.

* Periods of heavy rainfall associated with training thunderstorms
  could cause flash flooding across portions of the Mid South.
  Rainfall rates of up to 2 inches or greater per hour should be
  expected in the watch area. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches with
  locally higher amounts will be possible.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY EVENING...

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* Portions of North Mississippi and West Tennessee, including the
  following areas, in North Mississippi, Alcorn, Benton MS, DeSoto,
  Marshall, Prentiss, Tate, Tippah, Tishomingo and Tunica. In West
  Tennessee, Chester, Crockett, Decatur, Fayette, Hardeman, Hardin,
  Haywood, Henderson, Lauderdale, Madison, McNairy, Shelby and
  Tipton.

* Through Monday evening.

* Periods of heavy rainfall associated with training thunderstorms
  could cause flash flooding across portions of the Mid South.
  Rainfall rates of up to 2 inches or greater per hour should be
  expected in the watch area. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches with
  locally higher amounts will be possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
