Overview:
Heavy rainfall will begin overnight tonight with a couple more rounds expected Thursday through Saturday. A slow-moving surface low will track across the Mid-South Friday into Saturday. This will increase the probability of organized storms and heavy rainfall. A few storms could be strong with gusty winds as the main threat. The pattern will trend drier and cooler next week as the jet stream dips south.
