Flash Flood Warning Continues for CHESTER, HARDIN, MCNAIRY AND EASTERN MADISON COUNTIES


722 AM CDT WED JUL 1 2020

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 AM CDT THIS 
MORNING FOR CHESTER, HARDIN, MCNAIRY AND EASTERN MADISON COUNTIES...

AT 722 AM CDT, LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORTED WIDESPREAD FLOODING 
FROM EARLIER HEAVY RAINFALL. BETWEEN 3 AND 7 INCHES OF RAIN FELL 
OVERNIGHT AND HAS CAUSED FLOODING NUMEROUS ROADS ACROSS THE WARNED 
AREA. URBAN AREAS, INCLUDING PORTIONS SELMER HAVE REPORTED 
SIGNIFICANT FLOODING ACROSS THE COMMUNITY. ADDITIONAL RUNOFF WILL 
CONTINUE THE FLOODING THREAT THIS MORNING.

HAZARD...LIFE THREATENING FLASH FLOODING. THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING
         FLASH FLOODING.

IMPACT...LIFE THREATENING FLASH FLOODING OF CREEKS AND STREAMS,
         URBAN AREAS, HIGHWAYS, STREETS AND UNDERPASSES.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLASH FLOODING INCLUDE...
  JACKSON, SAVANNAH, HENDERSON, SELMER, PICKWICK LANDING STATE PARK, 
  CHICKASAW STATE PARK, ADAMSVILLE, MORRIS CHAPEL, SHILOH, JACKS 
  CREEK, MASSEYVILLE, MIFFLIN, PICKWICK DAM, OLIVE HILL, WALNUT 
  GROVE, BEMIS, ROBERTSON, MCNAIRY, CRUMP AND BETHEL SPRINGS.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS UP TO 1 INCH ARE POSSIBLE IN THE WARNED 
AREA.
