Overview:
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will affect the Tennessee River Valley this morning but additional development is expected this afternoon and evening. There is a marginal risk for severe weather (level 1/5) across portions of the area today, but a few strong to severe storms are possible pretty much anywhere in the Mid-South. Locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds will be the primary hazards with the stronger storms. These storms are most likely between 1 PM and 8 PM. However, scattered storms could linger into the early morning hours. A marginal risk is also in effect for much of the area tomorrow.

· Strong to Severe thunderstorms possible. Gusty winds are primary hazards.
· Locally heavy rainfall today and Wednesday.
When:
· Today through Wednesday.
Where:
· All of the Mid South, but greatest risk is in west Tennessee, the Missouri Bootheel, and extreme northeast Arkansas.
Potential Impacts:
· Potential wind damage and power outages.
· Locally heavy rainfall may result in localized flooding, especially in poor drainage areas.
