Friday's high at the North Jackson Climate Station was 61 degrees. This set a record for the lowest maximum temperature for May 8th. The previous record low maximum for the date was 68 degrees set in 2010.
The low temperature this morning at the North Jackson Climate Station was 34 degrees. This sets a new record low for May 9th. The previous record was 46 degrees set in 2010.
The 34 degrees low was also the record lowest minimum for so late in the spring in North Jackson. The previous record was 35 degrees set on May 5, 2013.
At McKellar-Sipes Airport this mornings low was 35 degrees which eclipsed the old record for May 9th of 38 degrees set in 1980.
