Sniffing Out Snow for Weekend? -- An Update

8:00 AM, December 3, 2018 -- Low pressure is expected to form over the upper TX coast by Saturday morning.  In the winter this is a set-up for a snowmaker in the south. The question is timing in these scenarios. 

A polar cold front is forecast to move through Thursday night and it could generate a few rain showers.  Highs are expected to be in the 40s Thursday and Friday.  As moisture increases due to the incoming system and development of the TX coastal low, rain will move back into the region.  Right now, still several days away, it would seem there is a potential for warm air to overwhelm the cold air and this will be an all rain event.  As the system moves away from us, leftover rain could change to snow before ending.    

If you are a snow lover, don't despair!  Things could change.  We are monitoring!
