WINTER STORM WATCH for West TN from Sunday Evening through Monday Evening

 



...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY EVENING THROUGH
MONDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Significant
  accumulations may occur across the Mid-South. At this time,
  snow is expected to occur across Northeast Arkansas, the
  Missouri Bootheel, and Northwest Tennessee. Further south,
  through the Memphis Metro Area into the Jackson, Tennessee area,
  precipitation may start out as sleet then change to all snow.
  Across Northeast Mississippi into areas of West Tennessee near
  Savannah and Selmer, a mixture of freezing rain and sleet may
  occur.

* WHERE...Portions of North Mississippi, West Tennessee, East
  Arkansas and the Missouri Bootheel.

* WHEN...From Sunday evening through Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening
  commute. The cold wind chills as low as 5 below zero could
  result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Power
  outages may occur in areas that receive freezing rain.
