Snow is Expected Monday over the Region

 422 AM CST Sun Jan 10 2021

...Snow is expected across much of the Midsouth...

Snow should begin just after midnight in the Delta areas Southwest
of Memphis and spread North and East through the morning hours.
Most of the snow should end by midday, changing over to rain
during the afternoon as temperatures warm into the upper 30s.
Expect up to about 1.5 inches of accumulation in North central
Mississippi South of Batesville and Oxford, tapering off to around
a half of an inch near the Tennessee state line. Farther North,
total accumulation should be around one quarter of an inch or
less.

However, if afternoon temperatures remain just slightly cooler
than expected and snow does not change over or mix with rain
tomorrow afternoon, totals could trend towards 2 inches in
portions of North-central and North-East Mississippi.

Temperatures are expected to fall into the middle 20s Monday
night. Any melted snow or rain on roadways will likely freeze.
This could result in hazardous driving conditions Tuesday morning.
Bridges and overpasses will likely become slick before surface
roads.
