Flash Flood Watch for the Northern Half of West TN

238 PM CDT Wed Sep 2 2020

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY MORNING...

The National Weather Service in Memphis has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include a portion of West Tennessee,
  including the following areas, Benton TN, Carroll, Crockett, Dyer,
  Gibson, Henry, Lauderdale, Obion and Weakley.

* Through Thursday morning

* Another round of heavy rain and thunderstorms is expected across
  portions of northeast Arkansas, the Missouri Bootheel and
  northwest Tennessee this afternoon into tonight. Significant
  rainfall from prior days has left soils nearly saturated, meaning
  the risk for additional flash flooding will be high.

* Flash flooding will be possible across the watch area, especially
  in areas that have already received significant rainfall over the
  past several days. Please heed all flash flood warnings.
